The traditional method of design and construction occurs where architects and designers work independently from the construction trades in designing the construction product. Contractors also work independently from the designers in their understanding, applications and construction methods for the building process. 
Collaborative (Design + Construction) incorporates contractor input in the design phase as well as continued designer input through the construction phase of a project.

Community Construction Co. and Blue Ridge Design Studio have partnered together to provide this team collaboration.  We actually enjoy working together.  The result is a better design with better choices made during the construction process. 

Greenport’s Arts & Crafts Style duplex units have incorporated the Collaborative (Design + Construction) in designing these new units.
